I grew up around horses, got my first horse when I was 9 and had them until I was 15. Then was able to get one again after a 15 year hiatus. I found my dream horse 2 years ago. He is a wonderful camping and trail partner. We have had ups and downs but I wouldn't trade him for the world.
I joined the Michigan Distance Derby to to meet new people and enjoy the beautiful scenery on horseback. I hope to push myself to ride everyday whether it is with friends or solo with my horse.
